Geomancy
Work and photos from the day of 11-30-09.
Was invited to make some chalk designs for a gallery opening at Project One on Portrero Hill, 16th and Rhode Island.
A great day to be drawing for the fine weather. Despite being in the man-made canyon and the sun dipping low in late afternoon, I accomplished some decent outline work.
And leave it to my web designer friend to take some cool avante-garde textural photos!
The opening is on Wednesday December 2nd; hoping I can get as much done as possible before that day.

Archer of Bright Chroma
I finished this archer piece today, the first of November. All it really needed was some bright colors and some detailing. The color scheme with this figure brings about the feeling of Air, the Sword suit. It is a quite different color grouping.
The skin was rendered in greenish tone with rusty red over it. This piece was experimental in some ways, and by the end of it I was satisfied with the result.
The dynamic nature of the pose grabs me: the moment of potential energy, quivering there, right on the balance. Focus and intent and energy.
