Totemic Iterations
2-26-15. The idea occured to me after last week's design to try the stenciled-symmetrical effect with a figure. After giving it some thought and working out the contours of a face, I arrived at a decent stencil. It worked fairly well, especially with the complementary violet and yellow, but the process was intensive.

Internal Glyphic Compression
2-12-2015. Third week using a paper stencil to make 'glyph' shapes with. An interesting effect. Earlier in the day, a girl had sketched me when I wasn't paying attention and I saw it when I was walking by.

GeoGlyphic Jigsaw Fracture
2-5-2015 A good night. Always fun/gratifying/fulfilling to see all the artist homies on sketch night. The chalk drawing at the corner was made using a paper stencil once again. I was pleased with the shape as it repeated and overlapped for the seven arms. Then after adding curves and spheres, I repeated part of the curve of the stencil around the outer circle. Also seven iterations. The end effect: crazy jumbled chaotic lines are paradoxically all in perfect alignment. Or as near as I can eyeball it. It was off a little bit but overall I was happy with it.
