Unfolding Starwheel Chrysalis

3-27-2014. San Francisco, California. A bizarrely abstracted 7-point design which gave me the impression (imprecision?) of either lightning ripping apart a ragged shape or wing-shaped origami folds.

Multi-Dimensional Occlusion

The evening of 3-20-2014. Our poetry group originator, Charlie Getter, has returned from the Florida Keys and appropriately enough, his first poem upon returning was his paen to Godzilla. May you stomp your way into all our hearts, Charlie. The evening was marked by a strange combination of geometries. A sixteen pointed star formed the base, with a smaller circle occluding it. Trying a new approach, I offset the center of the smaller 8-pointed star, and gave it a slight twist, almost as if the visual plane has been warped.

What began as a rather cold, slightly grim evening with a light turnout turned into a robust session of spoken word. A minimal design seemed a good choice for the evening.
