'Star Maiden' and Nature Spirits

The day of 9-20-12. In the afternoon I worked a small chalk sketch at Dolores Park; a fine day for drawing. I created a study of the statue called 'The Star Maiden' by Alexander Calder from 1915, one I admire. In the evening, at the usual weekly street poetry, the night was cut short by marching and police. A lively evening.
