*****************************7-12-2013. The usual Dolores Park spot. A fine summer day. Not too crowded in the park. For probably the dozenth time in my chalk-drawing experience, I had to talk to the police when an overzealous nitwit called them on me. It was much the same song and dance. I tried to tell him that chalk is 100% legal, the cops wouldn't do anything, and that he shouldn't waste their time. He kept asking where my permit was and seemed determined to be difficult. Predictably, the police showed up for about five minutes then left. A bit of an exhausting day. Ran into a couple friends who kept me company. The usual ice cream at Xanath afterwards really hits the spot.
