'Star Maiden' and Nature Spirits

The day of 9-20-12. In the afternoon I worked a small chalk sketch at Dolores Park; a fine day for drawing. I created a study of the statue called 'The Star Maiden' by Alexander Calder from 1915, one I admire. In the evening, at the usual weekly street poetry, the night was cut short by marching and police. A lively evening.

Lunar Anode Receiver

street poetry drawing from 9-6-12 *********************************************** "In electronic vacuum devices such as a cathode ray tube, the anode is the positively charged electron collector. In a tube, the anode is a charged positive plate that collects the electrons emitted by the cathode through electric attraction. It also accelerates the flow of these electrons."
