Minimal Concentric Ripples

Rather unique and amusing: One of our lively wordsmiths, David, does a chess-themed poem/performance where he raps his way through it while playing out some moves. 3-19-15. There was a funny moment when I realized one of the poets and myself were 'nestle quick brothers'! I'm in the habit of re-using chocolate milk bottles as water bottles; once you peel off the plastic wrapper, it is a functional water bottle. It has a blue cap with the bunny logo embossed on it. Weird minds think alike?

Sub-Surface Torsional Star Engine

3-12-2015. A crazy 9 pointed figure rendered with a combination of templates and overlapping stencil curves.

Transitive Re-Integrative Totem 8

3-5-2015. Decided to try using the face stencil again. On the one hand, I was satisfied with the application of the faces; even with the more clumpy crayolas, the delicate linework came together, and the complementary pairing of blue/orange gave it some snap. However I was dissatisfied with the incomplete structure of the star geometry cradling it. I was aiming for a more complete fullness from the design, more integration. The overall effect held an interesting tension; wish I'd had time to develop it more.
